Veconinter, the leading company in administrative services for the maritime industry, reported that has collected over 2,762 USD for the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP), a nonpartisan organization headquartered in Jacksonville (Florida) that offers programs to improve the lives of veterans and their families.

The initiative is part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility program, which consist in developing campaigns throughout the year and focus on supporting NGO’s and local communities with different causes in Latin America, the Caribbean and the US.

The first campaign took place in April 2017, successfully collecting over 4,500 USD for three autism foundations in Barbados, Trinidad & Tobago and USA.

This time, Veconinter and its business partners joined efforts once again to bring support to a worthy cause, by donating 1 USD for every invoice collected in the US between May 29th and June 291h.

The WWP provides free programs and services to veterans and service members who incurred a physical or mental injury, illness, or wound, co-incident to their military service on or after September 11, 2001 and their families.

So far, this charity has over 100,000 veterans registered, a milestone for this organization, which started in 2003 in a Virginia basement.

Veconinter highlights that its donation program is based on the company’s values, such as teamwork, honesty, responsibility and respect. In the next few days, a Veconinter representative will be personally handing over the donation to the foundation.
