The event gathered important members of the logistic chain in Latin America
Puerto Cortés, Honduras: This year, Venezolana de Control Intermodal C.A (Veconinter) attended one of the most important congresses for the logistic and foreign trade industry, the 32th Congress of the Federation of National Associations of Freight Forwarders and International Logistics Operators in Latin America and the Caribbean ALACAT 2015.
The meeting took place on the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Cortes (CCI), in San Pedro Sula city. Under the slogan “Logistic operators, global trade facilitators”, the main goal of ALACAT 2015 is to continuously professionalize the international trade, which is integrated by all of the pieces of the logistic chain in Latin America, such as: cargo agents, airlines, shipping lines, custom agents, importers, exporters and transport companies.
The program of this year included conferences with topics like: construction and improvement of ports around the world, maritime insurance, sustainable port management, protection of the environment, logistic competitiveness in Latin America, among other issues.
The event also promoted Honduras as a logistic platform in Central America and as strategic point for foreign trade. At the same time, Veconinter attended the meeting with the intention of promote commercial alliances and positioning as billing and collection leader agent, at the service of shipping lines and NVOCC´s.
Thus far, ALACAT, stablished in Bogota, Colombia, announced that ALACAT 2016 will be celebrated in the Salón Interamericano de la Logística y de la Manutención (SIL), in the city of Barcelona, Spain.
