Infographic: The History of Shipping Containers

On 26th April 1956 the first shipping containers were transported from New Jersey to Houston. Malcolm McLean, a businessman from North Carolina invented and patented this metal boxes and started a whole new era for the shipping industry. Nowadays 90% of cargo is transported on shipping containers.
