Our professionals certified by the Institute of International Container Lessors (IICL) use specialized criteria to define the conditions and damages done to the units usually overlooked by local port operators.

The quality and detail of our inspections relies on certified terminology and detailed characteristics. This service is executed on site with high end technology that will provide information at every step. Veconinter will also calculate the estimated cost of repair and generate the corresponding invoice in order to collect the damages.

 
The welfare of the units is a key factor in the shipping industry; this is why Veconinter provides the Damage Recovery program. A specialized team analyzes EIR’s (Equipment Interchange Receipt) and compares them with Veconinter’s detailed onsite inspections performed by certified International Container Lessors (IICL) personnel in order to transparently determine if any damage that may have been caused to any unit was done at port or by the consignee.
Through the strict follow up of each unit, you may rest assured that in case of damage occurred to the equipment we will immediately notify all involved parties in order to activate certified procedures and recover the value of the equipment so the asset can return to be operative.
 
Our new partnership with a global insurance carrier allows us to provide full risk management solutions in order to prevent and mitigate damages that may compromise the integrity of your assets. These policies are available for: containers, cargo, chassis, and trailers up to their book value.

What do these policies cover? Insurance up to total loss, with partial or complete damages that some units may suffer while being handled by the consignee and/or shipper. These insurance policies also include, in case of damage, the coverage of the collateral Demurrage & Detention associated with it.

No matter where your shipment is located, we’ll insure it. The life of the policy will begin from the moment the shipment is at its port of origin, up to its port of final destination. Another key fact is no deductible applicable (may vary due to geographical location and type of cargo).

 
This efficient service will provide you with a strict follow up of your inventory as well as real status of the intermodal units. Our presence inside the warehouses allows us to physically check on all clients containers to compare to what is listed in your IT system. We also manually handle all port documentation and act as your depot representatives, which include all of the following:

  • Through our equipment control service you will be able to improve the turnaround time of the units as they will be strictly checked until returned.

  • The strategic management of the intermodal units will let us know which of them would be soon overdue in order to generate the proper notifications for its prompt return.

  • With the support of local port authorities we handle daily information updates in order to compare this data with the information delivered by the consignees.
