The team of Veconinter Guyana received training by Guyana’s Fire Prevention Department last month, on Fire Prevention Week 2016.

For 42nd occasion, Guyana celebrates Fire Prevention Week with the theme “Fire Safety, A Collective Responsibility for the Preservation of Life and Property”, in order to increase awareness on the role of society to prevent unwanted disastrous fires.

“We must take a stand both individually as well as collectively since fires have a devastating effect on the nation as a whole. Every fire loss brings with it, economic, psychological, emotional as well as social trauma, not only for the victims but also for the country as a whole,” said Guyana’s Ministry of Public Security.

Inspector Joseph Semple in the offices of Veconinter Guyana provided an educational workshop and a Fire Prevention Inspection in order to make the necessary observations to ensure the safety and well-being of all the employees.

During the activity, Inspector Semple made some recommendations to the members of the team and provided an inspection report.  In parallel, Veconinter Guyana donated to the Fire Department a contribution to ensure the continuity of programs in favor of Guyana’s safety.
