In order to survive, a third merger has been recently announced between six shipping lines. The new group is ready to compete with their biggest rivals: A.P. Moeller-Maersk and Mediterranian Shipping Commpany under the M2 alliance. The Alliance agreed for a 5-year term, is scheduled to commence operations in April 2017.
